Can I use WebMins as a free AI website builder?
You can browse the public template catalog without starting a paid AI generation job. Templates marked Free have a zero template price in the catalog. That label applies to the template: it is not a promise of free AI tokens, hosting, a domain or every platform service. Check the current listing and account options before starting.
How AI usage works
The AI workspace supports connections to OpenAI and Anthropic using provider API keys. Sign in, add a valid API key in the connection settings, test it, and select an available model. Provider access, usage charges and model permissions depend on that provider account. A ChatGPT or Claude subscription should not be assumed to cover API usage.
Start with a free template
- Open Website Templates and select the Free price filter.
- Preview a template and review its pages and features.
- Choose Edit with AI, sign in, and follow the project and provider setup shown in the workspace.
- Review the result, preview mobile layouts, and check the available download or publishing options.
Budget for the whole website
Compare the template price, AI usage, hosting, domain renewal and any paid integration. Paid templates and managed ecommerce services have their own terms. Read current pricing before committing to a plan.
Is a credit card required?
Browsing public templates does not use the checkout. Payment requirements for AI providers or paid WebMins services depend on the account and service selected. No universal no-card or unlimited-free claim is made here.
